Empowerment

I dedicate myself to establishing resources to help students build confidence to utilise their power.

Leadership is for All

Cultivate diverse leadership by creating networking events and leadership training.

Throughout my term as VP Inclusion, I observed many talented and passionate people who may only sometimes see themselves as leaders of the future.

As an international, mature, Asian woman in leadership, I have been challenging the perspective of how traditional leaders should be. I know it is my responsibility as VP Inclusion to show how we could redefine the qualities usually associated with leadership roles.

If I get re-elected, I will dedicate my time to developing a series of networking events and training that will help you feel more confident to stand for representative roles or adopt everyday leadership.

Financial Literacy Training

Provide financial literacy training (especially for widening access students).

This year, I have observed how the cost of living makes us all struggle. I believe apart from tangible support such as Breakfast Club and Food Bank initiatives, the Union should also provide practical training to equip students with a better understanding of financial management.

One training that has been in high demand is financial literacy training. I plan to make the training available for care experienced and estranged students as soon as possible as they often face greater financial challenges than their peers. The training will be available to all students eventually.
